After 7 seasons wearing the Pickering Red Sox uniform, the team is relocating to the friendly confines of the Ajax Sportsplex for the 2020 season and beyond. The entire team would like to thank Pickering Baseball for the 7 seasons and appreciated the opportunity to represent the City of Pickering throughout the province.
Moving forward in 2020, the Ajax Spartans Senior Men's baseball team will be competing in the Greater Toronto Baseball League as per usual. The league consists of teams from East York, Leaside, Thornhill, Newmarket, Kendal and Ajax. They will also compete throughout the province at tournaments and will participate in the annual elimination tournament on the August Long weekend for a chance to represent Ontario at Nationals. The team consists of 21-44 year old players who come from a variety of baseball backgrounds from professional, to college and university, and semi pro. The team will play out of the Ajax Sportsplex on Friday nights starting in May at 7:30pm. The team is the defending league champion after capturing their 2nd title in the last 3 years in the 2019 GTBL playoffs.
