Patrick joined the Red Sox in 2014 and instantly solidified his spot in the rotation, winning the team's pitcher of the year award in 2014 and 2015. His 2014 campaign stands out as one of the best in team history. He went 7-2 with a 2.13 ERA and had 71 strike-outs in 71.2 IP. He remains a strong member of the rotation and gives the team a good chance of winning whenever he takes the ball. As most pitchers do Patrick will relish any playing time he gets in the field. The Ginger is a great team guy and will provide many laughs in the Red Sox dug-out - like the time he spotted an extremely thin dog in Tillsonburg.
